I was raised in Hong Kong and attended an international school where I developed a love for travel and new experiences. After graduating from HKIS, I was transported into a whole new world: Waco, Texas. I attended Baylor University for two years but fell in love with a boy from California at a summer camp (who now also teaches at TMS!!!), and transferred to San Diego State where I finished my bachelors in French and Sociology. After a semester in Paris, I married my summer camp romance and completed work for a K-12 teaching credential. Three children later, I decided to go back to school and earn my elementary credential as well as a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction.
In the Lake Washington School District, I have taught kindergarten, 6th grade, 5th grade, and 7th grade. With my breadth of teaching experience, I have acquired a unique perspective for learning that I believe has helped me become a strong and effective teacher. Currently, my husband and I are sharing our home in Kirkland with our youngest daughter and her two cats as she earns her masters in counseling. Our son is helping to run a soccer club (Go Titans!) and our eldest daughter is married with two sons, living in Edmonds. We love having our children and grandchildren close by and consider it a true blessing to be able to gather frequently as a family.
