Cheryl Barnes-Peterson
Cheryl Barnes-Peterson
Library Assistant

Cheryl Barnes-Peterson, who will be the Library Office Assistant in our new library. Cheryl has worked at Redmond High School for the last 4 years, mainly in the library. During her time at RHS, Cheryl has also provided support to the main office, including the counseling office, attendance office, health room, and the front desk. She has loved having this snapshot of students; seeing so many sides of their academic life. Cheryl loves her current work in the library because it speaks to two things she loves– reading and technology! Cheryl enjoys recommending books and helping students with laptop issues. Prior to working at RHS, Cheryl had many interesting part-time jobs while raising her kids, including a radio station. Cheryl and her husband, who is a graduate of Redmond High School and a teacher in the district, live in a home built in 1900 with their black lab puppy, Jax. She has 2 AMAZING daughters who also graduated from RHS. Cheryl grew up in Bothell, so her family’s Washington roots are very deep. Her dream is to travel to Italy very soon.

Cheryl shared, “I’m very excited to join such an enthusiastic staff! It’s going to be so fun to be a part of opening a new school and library and the chance to work with a new age group of students. I want them to feel as passionate about reading as I do; how it can open any door and take them anywhere. I can’t wait to learn from them as well. I’m looking forward to meeting all of you!”
