Michael Henderlight is our School Safety and Prevention Specialist at Timberline. Mike recently retired from a 30 year career in software development. He spent the first 10 years of his career in the Defense and Space sector working on various weapons systems, the Space Shuttle and the Strategic Defense Initiative, a.k.a. “Star Wars”, a space-based laser weapon system. The bulk of his career was with Microsoft where he worked for over 19 years in the roles of Technical Evangelist and a Senior Program Manager. He has shipped multiple versions of products such as: Content Management Server, BizTalk Server, .Net Framework, HD-DVD, KIN Smartphone, Windows Phone and Windows. He also spent two years as Vice President of Technology and Development at Allrecipes.com, when the company was early on in their development.

Mike shared, “I’m really excited to be working with the Timberline Middle School team! I wanted to spend this next chapter in my life giving back and helping children reach their potential seems like a great way to do it! Timberline is right in my neighborhood and I love working with the awesome staff we have here."
