Special Education

I graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Early Childhood Development and Family Studies, and later earned her Master's in Special Education from UW as well. My journey in education began as a paraprofessional in the Seattle School District, where I developed a deep understanding of the diverse needs of students. I completed my student teaching experience in a resource classroom at an elementary school in Ballard, where I was inspired to foster an environment where every student feels capable and successful.

As a special education teacher, I am committed to creating a classroom where all students feel confident and supported in their learning. I believe that every child has the potential to succeed, and my goal is to provide a space where students feel safe to take risks and try new things without fear of failure. Through individualized instruction, positive reinforcement, and a growth mindset, I strive to meet the unique needs of each student, helping them build both academic and social-emotional skills. Above all, I am dedicated to ensuring that each student knows they are valued and capable of achieving great things.
