Health

I am the 7th grade health teacher at Timberline! Before Timberline opened I taught Physical Education at the elementary level for 7 years. I helped to open Clara Barton Elementary to plan and implement the social-emotional learning in the new building. I graduated from Seattle Pacific University in Physical Education and holds a minor in Exercise Science. In addition, I have received my Master’s in Teacher Leadership from Walden University. I am a mom of two, Griffin & Brooklyn and am married to a Health and Fitness teacher.

Rebecca shared, “I am deeply passionate about health and fitness and partake in a healthy lifestyle myself. I am even more passionate about educating and guiding students at the middle school level to care and take an interest in their own health and wellbeing. I have been wanting to teach middle school for as long as I can remember and what better way than to jump into middle school alongside a community of teachers that are creating a dream middle school! As teachers we are also continuing learners, and I can’t wait to learn from a community of teachers that are passionate about this age group of students, and that are excited to create a culture that incorporates and makes social emotional learning a priority. I can’t wait to meet the students and wonderful community that surrounds them.”
