Samantha Hanna
Math

Samantha will be teaching Geometry and 6th Grade Foundations of Leadership. She is familiar with the area having grown up in Bothell and now living with her long-term boyfriend (also a teacher) and puppy Hoagie!. Samantha completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Western Washington University. Afterward, she served as a non-profit director working to build relationships with students and families in the community. She decided to go into teaching soon after graduating. In 2019, Samantha completed her Masters of Secondary Education through Grand Canyon University while working as a Substitute Teacher in multiple school districts.

Outside of teaching, Samantha is also highly committed to her coaching career. She has also been coaching the Juanita High School Gymnastics team since 2016 and has been awarded KingCo Coach of the Year in both 2020 and 2022. She also spent three years assisting the Juanita High School Varsity Fastpitch team and Timberline's Cross Country Team. She was also selected to be apart of WIAA's Game Changer's Initiative which is a committee of female coaches across Washington State who are working to make athletics and coaching more accessible and equitable.

Samantha shared, “I am thrilled to be part of Timberline because my first interactions with the administration and teachers quickly demonstrated how the entire Timberline community is committed to creating a culture of connection where students and staff feel valued and known. I want all of my students to be successful and supported both academically and personally.”
