Tracy Felton started teaching in 2007 at Inglewood Middle School where she spent the first 12 years of her teaching career, primarily in 7th grade LA/SS. She has a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction and is a Nationally Board Certified Teacher in English Language Arts. Tracy has demonstrated leadership at Timberline by serving as a member of the initial planning team and serving on the Building Leadership Team for three years. Additionally Tracy enjoys coaching and has coached intramurals and Track and Field at Timberline and cross country at Eastlake High School for over 10 years.
Tracy loves that Timberline has the interest of the “whole” student at its core by focusing not only on rigor but also on relationships. She believes social, emotional learning is critical and loves working at a place where her colleagues have the same values. While she is passionate about her subject area, she is perhaps more passionate about helping shape her students into life-long learners who fully value themselves and others. She continues to enjoy the exciting, challenging, and thoughtful work being on staff at TMS provides.
I’m looking forward to developing a culture for our middle school students that specifically promotes positive brain development, high academic expectations, and life-long learning.
