Vanessa shared, "As a first-year teacher, I am overwhelmingly excited to be teaching at Timberline MS, especially after my 3-month stint as a long-term sub this past spring. I may be a first-year math and computer science teacher but I’ve been a proud math nerd for years and an even bigger nerd for teaching. I graduated from Western Washington University with a Masters in Teaching and a Bachelors in Mathematics – plus a large serving of Computer Science. Prior to my remote/hybrid teaching experience subbing for Timberline MS, I student taught at Mount Vernon High School, where I gained valuable training and experience and where I deepened my learning and love of student-centered education. My personal and professional experiences have prepared me for diverse learners and I'm looking forward to creating, changing, and collaborating with these awesome Timberline middle schoolers and staff!"
