8th Grade Timberline Registration

8^th Grade Registration for TMS for next school year 2024-2025

 

Counselors will be in 7^th grade classes on Friday, February 9^th to present to students.  We will be going over the course catalogue, handing out a registration planning sheet for their classes for next year, and answering any questions.  On Friday, February 23rd, we will be back in classes to help students register online for their next year classes.  It is our hope that during the time between the 9^th and 23rd, they can look at the course catalogue to better help them prepare for selecting classes of interest on the 23rd.

Students are not guaranteed electives that they choose, but we try our best to get students in the classes they request as much as possible.  We also allow students the ability to try and change electives in the first two weeks of school if they do not get placed in the electives they chose, but again, there is no guarantee.

All current 7^th grade students attending Timberline Middle School and living within the TMS boundary will automatically be registered to start school in the fall 2024. There is no registration paperwork to turn in to the middle school office.

8th Grade Courses - Required classes are all automatically scheduled - no need to make a selection

·         Language Arts  (full year) Required

·         Social Studies  (full year) Required

·         Math  (full year) Required

·         Science  (full year) Required

·         PE  (1 semester) Required

·         Elective Choices are listed on planning sheet

Registration process:

• To request elective courses, students will enter their requests directly into Skyward with School Counselors in their Language Arts/Social Studies classes on Friday, February 23rd.

• School Counselors will follow up with any students who are absent the following week during a Flex session or at a later time to complete their registration.

• If your student is absent on February 23rd, please look through the course catalog, presentation, and planning sheet below. 

• Students and parents can discuss electives and use the Registration Planning Sheet (link below) to decide elective courses prior to February 23rd when students will complete their registration in class through Skyward.
